Art Deco Period French Buffet
Exemplifying the French Art Deco aesthetic, this buffet boasts an elegant ebonized French polish finish of museum-quality luster. This piece is in exceptional contidion and a favorite here in our gallery for the gilt brass detailing on the doors that showcase the Art Deco spirit of graphic design. Symbolizing a time of great change worldwide, Art Deco, short for Arts Décoratifs, is often synonymous with bold, geometric architecture and luxurious, extravagant graphics as well as decadent detail work. Pink and Gray Murano Glass “Manubri” Chandelier
With delicate layers of hand-blown glass, this excellent chandelier features the iconic “manubri” shape of glass elements. The feminine pink and gray colors of the glass draw the eye, while alternating these colors with transparent glass allows for a light, soft appearance. The modern design juxtaposes with the graceful tones to ground the fixture. “Manubri”, meaning dumbbell in Italian, draws upon the unique shape of the blown pieces of glass. Murano glass is one of the most renowned and desired forms of art glass worldwide. It has been called a “poem of light and color,” combining the imagination of artists and the skill of glassmakers to create exquisite masterpieces. Historically known for the range of colors, this fixture is a wonderful example of the craftsmanship Murano symbolizes. Romeo Rega Grand Modernist Dining Table
This Italian dining table is made of brass with chrome detailing and smoked glass top. Designed by Romeo Rega, this striking piece is large in size and style! Rega was a designer and master iron forger who was part of an elite group of modern Italian furniture designers of the 1970s. Working with other known artists like Willy Rizzo, they combined inventiveness and elegance for modernist glam. He used traditional craftsmanship with unexpected materials such as brass and Lucite. His company was still manufacturing furniture until 1981. As many vintage tables are on the smaller side, this large table is perfect for adding vintage character to your next dinner party.
