We could not be more grateful for all our customers on this journey. To celebrate, we are rolling out special pricing on our Murano glass items starting with our iconic chandelier collection!
Ending on June 18th, here are a few of our favorite Murano glass chandeliers included in our 30th Anniversary sale.
Pink and Gray Murano Glass “Manubri” Chandelier
With delicate layers of hand-blown glass, this excellent chandelier features the iconic “manubri” shape of glass elements. The feminine pink and gray colors of the glass draw the eye, while alternating these colors with transparent glass allows for a light, soft appearance. The modern design juxtaposes with the graceful tones to ground the fixture. “Manubri”, meaning dumbbell in Italian, draws upon the unique shape of the blown pieces of glass. Murano glass is one of the most renowned and desired forms of art glass worldwide. It has been called a “poem of light and color,” combining the imagination of artists and the skill of glassmakers to create exquisite masterpieces. Historically known for the range of colors, this fixture is a wonderful example of the craftsmanship Murano symbolizes. Originally priced at $22,500, while the chandelier is currently on sale it is priced at $16,750.
Orange Vistosi Modernist Vintage Chandelier
This striking fixture is a showstopper! From the iconic Vistosi studio on the island of Murano, the bright orange chandelier features chains of Murano glass links that waterfall downwards. Each strand is made of multiple hand-blown elements in a tangerine orange and white. We love the exaggerated brass canopy as well! The glass rings are made using the sommerso technique, which layers the glass to create multiple colors per item – in this case the tangerine and white.
Tracing their roots in glass making to the 16th century, Vistosi is an important name on the island of Murano. It has continued to be a family operation, passing down their techniques and designs for centuries. They continue to create striking and innovative designs with hand-blown Murano glass, and their vintage pieces are especially prized. We are drawn to the history and unique qualities of this dynamic chandelier. Originally priced at $17,200, while the chandelier is currently included in our sale it is priced at $12,900.
Vintage Murano Chandelier by Seguso
This vintage piece was crafted by the famous Seguso furnaces in Murano, Italy. It is made of “Oro Specchiato” glass, which is mirrored and fused with gold leafing. This elegant and masterly crafted chandelier boasts 16 branches on two levels. We love the pairing of the classic arm design with the striking, modernist elements such as the metallic appearance. For interior designers, architects, and collectors, the name Seguso is now synonymous with high-end, hand-made, luxurious glass creations. This role as one of the most prominent and largest manufacturers in Murano has only come after centuries of work by a family dedicated to producing innovative and sometimes eccentric pieces of art and lighting fixtures. Originally priced at $28,000, while the chandelier is currently included in our sale it is priced at $17,500.
Murano Glass Pink and Black Lanterns
Showcasing the exquisite detail of Murano glass blown lanterns, this set of four fixtures each emphasizes the delicate and intricate craftsmanship of Venetian glass. The soft pink tone of the glass beautifully glow as the light emanates through. Alternatively, the black and brass elements bring them into a modern era and draw the eye. The unique design and glass finials create a striking appearance. We especially love the alternating sizes and and shapes of the lanterns. The textured detail of the pink glass also juxtaposes with the smooth appearance of the black glass and brass structures. Originally priced as a group at $12,800, while the fixtures are on sale they are priced at $9,750.
