Shades of Summer

With summer setting in, we at Jean-Marc Fray are drawn to the colors and textures of the season. Especially inspired by the beaches of southern France, the tones of summer can be found throughout our gallery. The hues of the water, the sky, and the multicolored beach-goers call to mind the striking Italian glass fixtures we have here in our gallery. Please enjoy a few of our pieces that similarly bring to mind the water and feelings of Nice.

Evoking the warm tones of southern France, we are drawn to the combination of teal and gold. While the blue shades draw on the appearance of the sea and sky, the gold brings to mind the warmth of the summer sun at golden hour. We also love the organic shapes of these lamps and sputnik chandelier, the circular forms reminiscent of the curved lines of the coast.

In additional to the blues of the ocean, many images of the beaches in France showcase the candy-toned accessories of beach-goers. From brightly colored towels to contrasting umbrellas, we love the juxtaposition of the bright tones against the natural hues of the beach. These Murano glass accessories showcase the bold colors of the Nice beaches.

Nothing is quite as striking as the sun glinting off the ocean waves. This Murano glass chandelier features mid-century lines to the glass with a striking sea green color. Each glass element reflects light in a similar manner to the sunlight on the ocean. Likewise, much of our aqua Murano glass, such as these sconces, perfectly emanates the light colors of the sky on the horizon.
