Our Travels – Spring Break Series
Our European Travels
Working in the antiques industry is an amazing way to see the world. Our travels take us all over the globe sourcing the best pieces we can find, but our favorite place to return to while vacationing or searching for new pieces are Nice, France, Venice, Italy and Ventimiglia in Northern Italy.
Since March is the month of Spring break, we’re sharing some tidbits from our our travels. Enjoy!
Produce from local markets available in this part of the world is a cut above the rest. Walking around these markets in the early morning is one of our favorite pastimes.
Who doesn’t love indulging in local flavors during vacation? Pictured: the famous San Remo Linguini with Clams – our mouth is watering as we type…
A delightful and vibrant salad.
Our favorite dish – Octopus galore!
This is where the magic happens – in the local flea markets. We find some of the best pieces, with the most incredible stories in the heart of the Cours Saleya Market in Nice. Jean-Marc grew up spending his weekends at this market unearthing items that spoke to him. Needless to say, this is a must-see if you ever find yourself in Nice!
Read more about Jean-Marc’s passion in the about section of our website!
And after a day of shopping and adventuring, there is nothing like the reprieve you feel while relaxing at the beach. We love the simplicity of European beaches and any time we’re able to spend by the water.
At the end of the day (as always), the best part of any time spent traveling is the time we get to spend with our family. We love this photo of Jean-Noel and Juliette!
We hope you’re able to take a moment to relax during the Spring break season – whether you’re traveling or having a stay-cation!
