Last week the legendary Italian fashion house Dolce & Gabbana stunned audiences with their Alta Moda Fashion Show in Piazzetta San Marco, Venice. Once again the Serenissima creates MAGIC. Stepping off the gondola each model seems to float on the catwalk in an ethereal way ✨

Models and guests arrived to the show on gondolas to a captivating performance by Jennifer Hudson. They were then seated front row to view the spectacular show, and were later treated to dinner at Rialto Market, marking a long-awaited return to the catwalk show for many who haven’t been able to attend a real-life fashion presentation since March 2020.

Celebrities such as Jennifer Lopez, Monica Bellucci, Heidi Klum and others voyaged to Italy to take in the new dreamlike couture collection inspired by the city. The collection was made up of 100 precious looks in silks, brocades, velvets, glass and crystals, embroidery and special fabrics. Model after model DG was able to synthesize the richness and uniqueness of the Venetian lagoon.

“For us, Venice represents the perfect harmony of opposites that attract: it is romantic and sensual, melancholic and joyful, rational and visionary, luminous and nocturnal, sacred and profane, dark and golden,” Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana said in a statement after the show took place, of why they had selected Venice for their latest show. “It is the city of Casanova, of the Carnival, of the historic regatta on the Grand Canal.”
