Art Basel Miami Beach is finally here, in all its glory! This year’s fair is the largest edition yet, showcasing 282 of the world’s top art galleries’ booths inside Miami Beach’s Convention Center. The entire metropolitan area will be experiencing weeklong cultural circus swamps with a sea of pop-up events, satellite fairs, celebrity-studded corporate product launches, and not least, over-the-top parties. Trophallaxis
Simone Leigh’s work highlights the female body — particularly the Black female body. The presentation marks the first time this work is shown since it was acquired for the museum in 2018.
Prizm Contemporary African Art Fair
Prizm Contemporary will showcase a variety of works by artists from Angola, Barbados, Kenya, Portugal, and others. The program will feature panels, performances, and films, with special installations from Giana De Dier, Bola Obatuyi, and Senghor Reid.
