20 Dec West 6th – Austin’s Design District
Nestled in the heart of Austin, Texas on West 6th Ave, sits a uniquely curated design district that we like to call home.
Austin continues to be a trendsetter in the design and architecture industries and the Clarksville/West 6th neighborhood is no stranger to that! We’ve been lucky enough to have our doors open in the West 6th neighborhood for over 20 years, right inside the Whit Hanks Antiques building. There’s a lot of talent in this little section of Austin – endless opportunities for collaboration and referrals! We’ve gathered a list of some of our favorite design shops right in our neighborhood. Whether you’re redesigning a space or building a completely new one – the Design District on and around West 6th is the perfect place to plan and purchase for your next project.
Jean-Marc Fray French Antiques (of course!)
We proudly specialize in everything from Murano glass and Midcentury furniture to pieces from the Art Deco and Louis XVI periods. With more than 20 years in the business, we can happily share our expertise and even offer interior design services for any project you have in mind! We have pieces that will suit every taste – from modern to timelessly elegant.
From unique textiles and pillows to art and accessories, Meredith Ellis’ designer bungalow boutique is everything that dreams are made of. We’re so happy to call Meredith our neighbor and friend. If you’re in the market for textiles you simply can’t find anywhere else – James Showroom should be your first stop, and we dare you to try and leave empty-handed.
