Vintage Italian Mid-Century Buffet in the Manner of Paolo Buffa

Striking buffet from the mid-century with exquisite details. The piece is made of ebonized mahogany that has been veneered in black glass. The buffet has four drawers in a column down the middle of the piece. Each drawer is adorned with a clear Murano glass spherical knob, and the drawers are trimmed with brass. Flanking the drawers, there are double doors on each side of the buffet. Each set of doors opens up to a compartment with a mahogany shelf. The doors have working locks and solid brass keys. The doors are also trimmed with brass. The case piece is supported by elegant cabriole legs, the front two are capped with finely cast brass feet. The graceful curves of the base are accentuated by the sleek, geometric shape of the top portion. The black color with the touches of brass make this a very dramatic piece with great decorative impact. It is a favorite in our gallery!
